"My interest in organic form transcends through many of my designs and frequently correlates to the materials I choose. Simplicity and functionality are key, but I enjoy evoking an accord between a product to its environment to contextualize a design.”
Joel’s first deign offerings for VIS are a reclining tub with flowing curves and folds known as “Fl’eau”. Whilst his second design in development is suite of “Diamond shapes” named Ciseaux, exploring angular elements and sharp lines.
FL’EAU INSPIRATION
Inspired by the very nature of water in motion, Fl'eau has evolved into a single surface body which celebrates the beauty of fluidity. As a free standing bath, Fl'eau embodies the notion of an overflowing bath to create its own stability to an otherwise rounded and unstable form.
The allure of Fl'eau derives from its feminine curvature and twisting flowing lines, working in conjunction with a comfortable and practical bath that will demand pride of in any bathing environment.
